German Offshore Spaceport Alliance
- What happened
- Promised launches in 2023, then April 2024, then regular launches from 2026. The platform never sailed and GOSA was wound up in 2025. OHB’s European Spaceport Company said in November 2025 that a first launch would come in 12 to 18 months.
German launch firms have had €137m of public money, with €385m more in Launcher Challenge contracts for future launches. One orbit has come of it, and it was flown from a Norwegian island.
Money from company accounts, public registers and ESA contracts; promises from the statements on our company and spaceport pages; launch counts from Jonathan McDowell’s launch log of 7 October 2026. Every figure is on the page it comes from.
